The international UV radiation index brands 11 as extreme. Perú has reached 20, being the country with the highest UV radiation in the world. This leads to more than 800 skin cancer deaths every year. Young Peruvians are unaware of this. But they do care about their skins, the virtual ones. Almost a third of Peruvians are gamers, and they spend 15 times more on video game cosmetics than they do on sunscreen. So, we found a way around Fortnite’s strict regulations on their most valuable asset and created a map that simulated Perú’s UV radiation affecting and burning players' skins. This map is now available for more than 230 MM players around the world to generate awareness among the youth.
